If I were a pokemon, one of the first moves I'd learn is "non-sequitur". And it would induce confusion on overly logical pokemon.

describing yourself in your own terms can be difficult... if your friends were pokemons, or any other rpg-type character, what would their moves be? their strengths/weaknesses?
ex. "Jeff used Walk around like he owns the place! Jeff's Ego skyrocketed... His Suspicious stat also rose."
How did Jeff learn that move?! Is he a fighter or a lover? The effectiveness of the move depends on the goal of the movee. Is Jeff looking for a fight? A lady? Some stimulating convo? A combination of any or all?
Fredrika used Meta! A silence (awkward only to Fredrika) pervaded the room. Jon used Babble. Fredrika got so lost in the babble that she forgot the presumed meaningfulness of her statement.
In this case Fredrika has a low Determination or high Distractibility. Jon is resistant to Meta because he is so Down to Earth. Fred may be weak to Meta, unless she is waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
What about a Determined, Un-distracted Meta?
Jack twisted Jon's Babble into a Clever Metaphor. The Ambience of the Room shifted.
Where Meta prevails, such as, in the case of Jack, the Ambience of the Room shifts.
Where Down to Earth wins, the Ambience is retained.
Who has the Favor of the Room?

ahahah you're good at these
Fredrika is weak to her own all-enemies-and-allies attack. Dangerous! She needs to use it on same-type pokemon.
Favor! What a pokemon invention. I guess you can only tell favor during a theatre performance with voting
